The Importance of Counseling With a Psychologist

The Struggle is Real

I understand the situation can be challenging at the moment for some of you. We all have anxiety and there is no need to be embarrassed about that. We just need to let our self to accept the situation. Go seek for professional help if you need it. (I believe you all need it ☺️)


How can we know when is the correct time to seek for professional help:
1. When you feel that you can't understand the situation
2. When you always blaming yourself
3. When you questioning yourself
4. When you looking for someone or anything to take the blame
5. When you feel that no one can't understand you
6. When you feel suffocated
7. When you don't have the supporting system (family and friends) or you always feels alone
8. When you have the evil whisperer to kill yourself (even just for a split image)

You don't have to feel all of them, just one of the point mentioned is enough to seek for a help. No need to ashamed with your feelings. Anyone is matter, you are worth it.

Why counseling can be helpful?
1. They are a professional listener:
  • Never judge
  • Never cut your story in the middle
  • Neutral
  • Will ask you something that will make you re-evaluate the situation and you may feel that they understand you. It is good to be carefully listened.
  • Will give you another professional insight, but won't push yourself to make a sudden decision

2. When you share your story out loud, you will feel that you can hear yourself talk to understand the situation. It can give impacted to yourself to re-thinking and re-evaluate the situation.

3. Amongst all of them you still need to be realistic and manage your expectation. You need to make a purpose of the counseling. Accept the reality that you've some issues to address and please prepare your mind that can't always get what you want. I believe everyone have some issues, but in my opinion sometimes they deny it, they always think that they are in a right path. Anyone "who feel okay" can do the counseling as well, so we can re-evaluate ourself.

Your feeling is matter, what's on your mind is matter. Be responsible for yourself and seek for help. I know it can be hard to share your situation to a stranger at first, but at least just try, it's a big step to continue to the another steps. You need to find a psychologist that will make you comfortable as well.

If I may recommended someone you can always find a clinical psychologist named Rena Masri founder of @cintasetara. You can follow that account at first and read all the feeds. There are many psychological account at instagram as well, you can start small from there.

Keep in mind to always lower our head, earth not moving for ourself only, don't be too egocentric.
